About

Hello, I’m Isabel Lancaster E-RYT® 200, RYT® 500, I assist people on their journey to wellness and authenticity through a variety of fitness and holistic modalities. IDWELLNESS is built on the philosophy of improving physical, mental and emotional wellbeing; seeing you as a whole with interconnected systems that compliment one another. I combine modalities such as yoga, pilates, breathwork, sound healing and more to assist you in feeling good. I am qualified in all modalities I offer, you can read more about these below. I am a down to earth person who can meet you where you are whether you’re looking for a good stretch or you’re interested in spirituality.

I’m based in Chelsea and Pednor, Buckinghamshire mainly 1:1 sessions and small group classes of my own and in affiliated clubs and studios.

You can also begin a wellbeing practice with me from the comfort of your own home with the IDWELLNESS Virtual Studio. Filmed in Mallorca, the platform gives access to over 120 sessions of Yoga, Pilates and Breathwork practices you can do anytime, anywhere. Classes range from 10 – 45 minutes with the additional option of series and challenges (from 5 days to 1 month) to keep you motivated. You can find out more here.

At the heart of IDWELLNESS is the vision to integrate wellness practices into your daily life. Corporate Wellness is another area in which I operate, with past and present clients including; Google, Icebreaker, Banham Patent Locks LTD, H&M and Barnett Waddingham. You can find out more here.

I have over 15 years of experience practicing and teaching a range of holistic modalities, including Yoga, Pilates, Sound Healing, Meditation and Breathwork and Life Coaching. I have worked in a variety of environments including offices, privately, in studios such as Indaba Yoga Studio and Chelsea Harbour Club, to retirement homes including Auriens Chelsea, in schools and with disabled children. I work with people from all walks of life.

The first modality I learnt and practiced was yoga. After completing the basic 200 hour yoga qualification I trained in Jivamukti Yoga with the Founder Sharon Ganon and Dharma Yoga with the Founder Sri Dharma Mittra. The foundation of my teaching is based on these lineages including meditation, breathwork, and sometimes chanting with the harmonium. I use my experience in running, weight training, ballet, gymnastics, contortion and handstanding. These physical disciplines inform my structured approach to training the physical body (from beginner to advanced) and allow me to work with others who come into yoga and such disciplines through these routes.

I am fully qualified and a specialised practitioner in Pregnancy and Post-natal Yoga. This came about as my clients became pregnant and I wanted to continue to assist them throughout their journey. During pregnancy, the body undergoes hormonal and physical changes that affect the body and the mind. Another area I have knowledge in is Menopause and help many women in this part of their life, through balancing hormones and relieving physical tensions.

Having injured my back and knee I went on to train in Pilates (Mat and Transformer) to rehabilitate my injuries and prevent further injury. This has lead me to assist many people with minor and major injuries such as hip replacements, frozen shoulders, tennis elbow, heart problems and more. I have worked with a variety of athletes in their rehabilitation process and prevention.

Sound Healing followed shortly after as many if us have now realised how important it is to rest and recalibrate. The prominence of sound is far greater than many of us perceive. Sound Healing seeks to rebalance and heal the body. I use crystals bowls and koshi chimes. Even if you aren’t full yon board with the woo woo, by default this practice calms the nervous system and relieves tension from the physical body simply by laying and relaxing.

My sessions connect you to the authentic version of yourself, allowing to expand into a greater state of consciousness and become the best version of yourself.

“I’ve been doing yoga on and off for a number of years now but Issi is by far the best teacher I’ve come across. She teaches in the most beautiful relaxing way, always making sure everyone is practicing each pose correctly. Her classes are both challenging and relaxing the perfect balance. I’ve been lucky enough to attend a couple of Issi’s retreats, both day ones and longer weekend ones. They are such a treat to take part in and carefully organised to every little detail.

Issi also runs sound healing masterclasses to her and I can’t recommend taking part in these enough! What an experience!

I am grateful to have found Issi and will continue to enjoy her holistic approach to life for many years to come.”

Testimonials

“Issi is a kind spirit with a gentle soul, thoughtful, and patient. Her tailored practices are a great mix of strength, flow, deep breathing, and relaxation.

Issi has a very great way of passing on instructions, the guidance are vey clear in what she wants me to do, where I am supposed to feel the pose and what the purpose of the poses are.

The way she instructs, guides me through the sequences and her wonderfully calming voice just makes her class so unique.

I love my weekly sessions. Her space is the perfect safe haven, filled with love and great energy. I’ve never felt stronger, more in-tuned with my mind and body or as centred.

I absolutely encourage you to book a session and assure you that you will not be disappointed!”

— Hanna Schmitt

“When I moved to London I found it hard to get back into my Yoga practice and really priorities that time for me. When I met Issi, she brought the spark back and I found myself committing to her classes weeks in advance.

The way I would describe Issi’s class I believe is a direct reflection of her as a person; Nurturing and calm, has an exciting energy about trying new things, while always with a smile on her face.

Issi has a true interest in building relationships with her students which is one of the many things that makes me, and other students, continually come back to her classes..”
