Contemplate the elements of meditation and practice taking time to pause. A course for complete beginners.

In this session we look at breath. We are breathing all the time but we rarely draw our attention to it. The breath is a great source we can use to anchor our mind.
Equipment: Somewhere comfortable to sit. You may sit in a chair, with a wall behind you or in the center of the room. Feel free to use cushions, blankets and yoga bricks.

Learn the skill of observing the thoughts rather than controlling them. We can never really control our thoughts but we can become more comfortable with them, which leads to us feeling more comfortable and perhaps in some aspects, more in control.

In this session we practice allowing thoughts to come and go and learn why it’s valuable to observe our thoughts through meditation.
